After grinding the entire body down to raw 'glass, top and bottom, two to three layers of 'glass matte were apllied to both sides followed by epoxy resin mixed with fairing compound (shown in picture, like a super-Bondo). All contour lines had to be rebuilt as the body was smoothed out.
