This is a Veep, built in California in the early 80s by a local company in small numbers and also offered as a kit. All steel Jeep body with a special box steel frame and suspension and running gear from a VW Beetle.
This particular car was originally built for a 1980's child star as his first vehicle and was discovered last year in storage in a backyard north of Hollywood. It was in rough shape, but now after a bare metal restoration it is ready for fun in the sun again.
Built as a replica of the highly collectible Jeep "Surrey Gala", which was originally built in the late 1950's and was marketed to beach resorts and the beach minded consumer.
Extremely fun and makes the whole world smile when they see it. Its like a birthday cake on wheels!!
